Abstract:
After more than 30 years of work the author managed to decipher the ancient Roman mosaics published in the Science and Life journal number 3, 1975. The article contains an analysis of one of the two mosaic components, namely the analysis of the frame of a scene pattern. The author comes to the conclusion that in the mosaic frame there is a structure of the correct four-sided pyramid, the Pyramid of Cheops, which is constructed on the principle of the golden section. Previously no one has calculated the structure of the pyramid of Cheops. The author's calculation has confirmed the accuracy of instrumental measurements of the pyramid of Cheops, executed by an English Colonel G. Weise in 1840. Analysis of the author's arguments, done by the head of the Mathematics Department of the State Agricultural University of North Trans-Ural, Ph.D. Lubov Yakobyuk, shows that all the mathematical calculations are fulfilled correctly.
